UAE AI Visibility Index

When someone asks AI for a recommendation in the Emirates, these are the names that come back.

We read what Google's AI Overview already says across twenty-six UAE sectors and record two things for each major company: whether it is named in the answer, and whether its own site is cited as a source. Every company is listed either way, because a household name the machines never mention is the most useful row on the page.

Across every sector

The sources shaping AI answers about the UAE.

These domains appear across the most sectors. If your brand is absent from the ones relevant to you, that is usually a bigger gap than anything on your own website.

Where does your brand sit?

Method

How this is measured.

What we count

Two things, kept separate. Named means the company appears in the text of a Google AI Overview answer for that sector's queries. Cited means the company's own website was used as a source for the answer. A company can be recommended without being cited, in which case another site takes the click. Each sector starts from a fixed list of its major companies, so an absence is a measurement rather than an omission.

Why only Google

Google's AI Overview is covered for the UAE. The equivalent ChatGPT dataset covers the United States only, so including it would mean publishing American figures under an Emirati headline.

Companies, not sources

Each ranking contains only that sector's companies, taken from a fixed list. The other domains AI cited, news sites, portals, government pages and platforms, are shown separately under each card. They matter, but they are not competitors and putting them in the same list would be misleading.

What it is not

Not market share, not revenue, not a quality ranking. A brand can lead here and lose in the market, or the reverse. It measures one thing: whether the machines say your name.
